A QUINTESSENTIALLY ENGLISH COUNTRY PUB
Welcome to your favourite Warwickshire country pub!
A WARM WELCOME IN AN HISTORIC COUNTRY PUB
It’s nice to see you…
You might already know the Fleur De Lys in Lowsonford for its award-winning pies, or its beautiful beer garden on the banks of the Stratford-Upon-Avon Canal.
Perhaps you’ve heard that we’re a dog-friendly pub or visited us with all the family to take advantage of our children’s playground. You may have popped in for a coffee with colleagues or followed our reputation for fine pints of exemplary ale. The Fleur De Lys has been many things to many people over the generations, but we want you to know it will always be your home away from home.
About Us
In 2014, Nick and Emma Woodhouse traded in the fast pace of a Bristol city centre bar for the joy of a more rewarding country pub life at the Fleur De Lys. Ten years, five pets, two kids and a pandemic later and they remain proud to be the current custodians of this beautiful pub at the heart of the Lowsonford community, with a tight-knit team taking care of the day-to-day running of this beautiful old building.
Drink & Dine
PERFECT PUB FOOD FROM PIES TO PUDDINGS
A proper country pub needs proper hearty, fulsome pub food, which is why we’re delighted to fill your plate to bursting with classic pub dishes done really well.
Whether you want to sample one of our homemade Lowsonford Pies or try something new from our Specials Menu, we take great pride in making sure you never leave feeling hungry! We’ve got Abbot Ale, Timothy Taylor’s Landlord and St Austell’s Tribute on cask, plus a guest ale but if spirits are more your thing take a look at our selection of over 50 flavours of gin instead.

A Pub With A Pie Legacy
The Fleur De Lys pub first began serving pies through the infamous kitchen hatch during the 1950s, drawing crowds from all over the Midlands to sample Mr Brookes’ finest steak and kidney or chicken and mushroom pies. Whilst the original Fleur De Lys pies ultimately became part of Pukka Pies, we are very proud to have created the award-winning Lowsonford Pie Company to ensure that all 11 flavours of pie we now serve are handmade right here in the Fleur De Lys kitchen.
Christmas at the Fleur De Lys Country Pub
MOUTH-WATERING FESTIVE MENUS AT THE FLEUR DE LYS
With Christmas on the horizon, now’s the time to start making plans to meet up with all those friends and relatives you’ve missed throughout the year. Being centrally located, the Fleur De Lys country pub offers the perfect meeting place if you’ve got guests travelling from all over the country. With mulled wine next to roaring log fires, cosy 15th Century corners and a festive menu running from 30th November, we’d love to get you into the Christmas spirit. Plus, we’ve got space for groups of up to 40 people in our top room, so the Fleur is the perfect destination for a good old catch-up before the end of the year.
Fall in Love With Lowsonford
Whether you arrive on foot or on horse, by car, bike or boat, you’ll find the sleepy village of Lowsonford surprisingly accessible. Nestled in what used to be the Forest of Arden, the Fleur De Lys country pub enjoys enviable views of the Warwickshire countryside. Yet despite this idyllic location, the Fleur De Lys is conveniently located between the M40 and M42 with quick commutes to Warwick, Leamington, Solihull and Stratford-Upon-Avon, making it the perfect mid-point meeting destination.
A Country Pub for All Occasions
We like to think of the Fleur De Lys as a pub for all occasions. On a typical day we’re serving coffee and cake to walkers and cyclists exploring our village in the morning before diving into lunch service that could include colleagues brainstorming over a working lunch, tourists visiting historic Warwickshire or locals popping in for a quick bite to eat. Evenings are definitely a time to put the world to rights as friends gather around our table for feasting and gossip, whilst our playground and acre of beer garden draw families all year long. Not forgetting our favourite customers of course: dogs! You can’t be a proper country pub without some muddy paw prints around the place, which is why our lower bar and throughout our garden are all dog-friendly.
